Location: Cheltenham (office based)

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum, plus bonus

Calbarrie Compliance Services Ltd provides electrical safety testing and compliance services across the UK, covering fixed installations, portable appliance testing, emergency lighting, thermal imaging and remedial works. Calbarrie works across facilities management, retail, commercial, education and local authority sectors, with a strong focus on repeat business and long-term client relationships.

About the Role

We are seeking an Internal Sales Executive to join our Sales team in Cheltenham.

This is a proactive sales role focused on generating revenue through outbound calls, following up quotations, developing customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities. Working within a structured and KPI-driven sales environment, you will manage your own pipeline while contributing to the success of the wider team.

This role offers a clear progression pathway into Business Development and Account Management for individuals who demonstrate strong performance, commercial awareness and a commitment to developing their sales career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Make proactive outbound calls to existing and prospective customers.
  • Follow up quotations and sales opportunities to maximise conversion.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Identify new business opportunities and promote relevant company services.
  • Respond professionally to inbound sales enquiries.
  • Maintain accurate customer and opportunity records within the CRM system.
  • Manage a personal pipeline of opportunities and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Work closely with Business Development Managers and the wider sales team.
  • Re-engage dormant and lapsed customers.
  • Work consistently towards agreed sales targets, activity levels and KPIs.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

  • Minimum 2 years' telesales, new business or internal sales experience.
  • Good stability and permanence within previous employment history.
  • Confident and professional telephone manner.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Target-driven and comfortable working to KPIs and sales targets.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities and prioritise workload effectively.
  • Good IT skills, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

We are looking for an ambitious and self-motivated sales professional who enjoys building relationships, generating new business and achieving measurable results.

The successful candidate will be resilient, commercially focused and comfortable working within a KPI-driven environment. You will be keen to develop your skills, take ownership of your performance and progress your career into Account Management or Business Development over time.

Salary and Benefits

  • We offer a basic salary of £28,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Salary review following successful completion of the probationary period.
  • OTE bonus scheme with strong earning potential based on performance.
  • Clear career progression opportunities into Account Management and Business Development roles.
  • Ongoing training and development within a growing sales team.
