About Unico
Unico is a family-owned, Scottish-based distributor specializing in janitorial supplies, catering supplies, workwear, PPE, and business supplies. We supply a wide range of customers across almost all industries within the UK.
Role Overview
As an Internal Workwear & PPE Sales Executive, you will play a key role in developing customer relationships, driving sales growth, and delivering excellent customer service. You will proactively engage with existing customers, lapsed accounts, and prospective clients to identify opportunities, increase customer spend, and support business growth. Working closely with the wider sales team, you will help ensure customers receive a first-class experience while contributing to the continued success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement
- Manage and develop an assigned portfolio of customer accounts.
- Contact our large account base regularly to promote Unico, encouraging increased spending and deepening customer relationships.
- Manage customer pricing, ensuring accuracy and profitability.
- Conduct outbound calls to develop and maintain existing strong customer relationships to drive sales growth.
- Conduct outbound calls to cold prospects and lapsed customers to generate business opportunities.
- Support the field sales team in quotations, order support, and enquiries.
- Re-engage gone-away customers to explore renewal or upsell opportunities.
- Analyze customer purchasing patterns to identify any gaps in sales or potential revenue leakage.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing customers through targeted telecommunication efforts.
- Update customer records and history.

Customer Support
- Handle customer enquiries promptly and professionally.
- Resolve customer issues and escalate where appropriate.
- Ensure customers receive excellent service throughout their journey with Unico.

Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience in customer relationship management and sales.
- Experience in a customer-facing, contact center, or telesales role (B2B experience advantageous but not essential or B2C).
- Knowledge of PPE & workwear is essential.
- Experience of janitorial, facilities supplies, or related sectors would be advantageous.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to overcome objections and handle rejection.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and follow-ups.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent use of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, & Outlook.
- Ability to work collaboratively across various departments.
