International Broking Director – Multinational Clients
£100,000 – £140,000 + Bonus & Benefits
London - with International travel.
IDEX Consulting is working confidentially with an established UK insurance broking business looking to strengthen its international capability with the appointment of an experienced International Broking Director.
This is a senior opportunity for someone with strong experience of multinational commercial insurance who enjoys managing complex client relationships, coordinating international programmes and building relationships across overseas markets.
You'll work with UK businesses that have insurance requirements across multiple territories, alongside international organisations requiring insurance and broking support for their UK operations.
The role
You'll take responsibility for a portfolio of complex international clients, working closely with clients, insurers, overseas broking partners and colleagues across the wider business.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and coordinating multinational insurance programmes.
- Supporting UK-headquartered businesses with overseas insurance requirements.
- Managing incoming international business and UK placements for overseas clients.
- Working with broking partners across international territories.
- Developing strong relationships with clients, insurers and international stakeholders.
- Identifying opportunities to develop existing relationships and generate new business.
- Providing technical and commercial guidance on complex multinational placements.
- Contributing to the continued development of the firm's international proposition.

About you
We're looking for someone who already understands the complexities of multinational commercial insurance.
You'll ideally have:
- Strong experience within international or multinational commercial insurance.
- Experience coordinating global insurance programmes across multiple territories.
- Knowledge of incoming / reverse flow international business.
- Strong commercial insurance and placement experience.
- Established relationships across the international insurance market.
- The confidence to engage with senior clients, insurers and overseas broking partners.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to recognise and develop new opportunities.
