Job Description for INTERNATIONAL COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR – EPC, DISTRIBUTION & OEM
For an Italian company that is our client, an established international industrial company specializing in the design and manufacturing of electrical and technical solutions for hazardous and demanding industrial environments, we are looking for an:
INTERNATIONAL COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR – EPC, DISTRIBUTION & OEM
The successful candidate will be responsible for sustainably and consistently expanding the company's commercial presence within the Distribution and OEM channels across international markets, with a primary focus on Europe – including Scandinavia, the UK and Turkey – as well as North America.
The role will involve planning, coordinating and controlling the activities of the commercial organization dedicated to the Distribution and OEM channels, managing and developing both internal and external commercial resources, including agents and consultants.
He/she will be responsible for:
- Develop and execute commercial strategies aimed at sustainable sales growth within the Distribution and OEM channels.
- Lead, coordinate and optimize international commercial resources, both internal and external, maximizing their effectiveness and efficiency.
- Achieve order intake, revenue and profitability targets established in the company's business plans.
- Monitor sales performance through regular reporting and KPI analysis.
- Prepare periodic reports on the competitive landscape, including market trends, business opportunities and competitor analysis.
- Collaborate with Finance/Administration on credit management and customer payment collection.
- Analyze profitability and define corrective and improvement actions.
- Drive the optimization of sales processes through the effective use of CRM tools, improving lead management, traceability and conversion rates.
- Work closely with the Product Management function to optimize the product portfolio, identify new market opportunities and contribute to positioning strategies for existing and new products.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key international customers, distributors and OEM partners.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across assigned international markets.
- Represent the company in international markets and at relevant industry events, with extensive international travel.
- Maintaining a strong market presence through regular visits to existing and prospective customers.
- Identifying new business opportunities and contributing to the long-term growth of the EPC Business Area.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
- MANDATORY: Minimum 10 years of senior commercial experience in industrial B2B environments, with proven experience across EPC, Distribution and/or OEM channels.
- Strong experience in the international commercial development of electrical and electromechanical equipment and technical solutions for hazardous and demanding industrial environments, or comparable industrial products.
- Proven experience in managing international commercial teams and external sales networks, including agents and consultants, with responsibility for sales, revenue and profitability targets.
- In-depth knowledge of EPC, industrial distribution and/or OEM business models, combined with strong business development and negotiation skills.
- Experience in electrical, electromechanical, automation or related technical/industrial sectors will be considered a strong advantage.
- Excellent proficiency in CRM systems, sales data analysis, KPI monitoring, forecasting and reporting.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, autonomy and results-oriented mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally.
- Fluent written and spoken English. Knowledge of Italian is not mandatory.

Location
Remote work, exclusively from Germany or the UK.
Compensation
- Gross annual compensation package: €100,000–150,000, including MBO/ performance-based bonus and non-compete agreement allowance.
- Company car for private use
