Role Description
As an International Development Consultant with K Enterprises, you will be part of a wider network of people who believe expertise can be used to create meaningful change.
This is a flexible, contract-based role with remote working at its core, giving consultants the freedom to work from wherever they are most effective while remaining connected to a wider professional community. Consultants may also choose to meet and collaborate in person, attend events, workshops, partner engagements where they wish to participate and opportunities arise.
You will contribute your knowledge and experience to projects that strengthen partnerships between the UK and international stakeholders, including governments, NGOs, communities, development organisations and the private sector.
Your work may involve researching complex social, economic and environmental challenges, shaping development strategies, contributing to capacity development initiatives, and supporting the design and delivery of projects with the potential to create lasting impact.
You may also contribute to proposals, reports, briefings and strategic recommendations, helping ensure our work reflects partner and community needs while supporting wider ESG and sustainable development ambitions.
But this role is about more than completing deliverables.

You will collaborate with colleagues, partners and stakeholders across different disciplines and geographies while bringing the professionalism, reliability and independent thinking as a network member and consultant.

Qualifications
We are interested in people who bring a combination of knowledge, experience, curiosity and a genuine desire to contribute. Graduates are also welcomed.
Experience may come from consulting, international development, government policy, research, the private sector, civil society or related fields, particularly within international, cross-border or multi-stakeholder environments.
Strong research and analytical skills are important, including the ability to understand complex information, think critically and turn evidence into practical recommendations.
Experience in capacity development, institutional strengthening, training, organisational development, programme design or project delivery would be valuable.
You should be comfortable communicating ideas clearly through proposals, concept notes, reports, presentations, briefings and engagement with partners.
Knowledge or experience relating to ESG, sustainability, the Sustainable Development Goals, emerging markets or developing-country contexts is welcomed.
An academic background in International Development, International Relations, Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, Social Sciences or a related discipline would be beneficial, although we equally value meaningful professional and lived experience.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are important, together with the ability to engage respectfully and confidently across different professional, cultural and organisational environments.
Experience working with governments, donors, multilateral organisations, NGOs, businesses, community organisations or other international stakeholders is beneficial.
