About the Role
Joining the International HR team at CoStar Group, you will play a vital role in shaping HR strategy for a fast-growing, global organization. Our mission is to attract, retain, and develop diverse talent in the communities we serve.
We are seeking an experienced International Employee Relations Consultant to provide expert guidance on complex Employee Relations matters, ensuring compliance, fairness, and consistency across key international markets (UK, France, Germany, Spain, Singapore, China, Japan, and Indonesia).
This role involves collaboration with HR Business Partners, Legal, and leadership to manage risk, support decisions, and drive positive employee experiences. This position operates on-site, Monday–Friday.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted HR advisor for HR Business Partners and business leaders on globally distributed Employee Relations matters.
- Handle complex, sensitive cases, including discipline, grievances, performance management, redundancies, collective consultation, and terminations.
- Lead and support consultation processes, ensuring legal compliance and best practices.
- Provide clear, pragmatic advice aligning with local employment laws and corporate policies.
- Prepare and review Employee Relations documentation, including termination letters, consultation materials, and settlement agreements.
- Assess risks in internal investigations and advise on mitigation strategies.
- Partner with Legal teams on high-risk cases and claims management.
- Contribute to improving Employee Relations processes, frameworks, and manager capabilities.
- Analyze Employee Relations trends to proactively address risks and opportunities.
- Balance global consistency with local legal and cultural considerations across jurisdictions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with a strong track record of longevity with past employers.
- Proven Employee Relations experience supporting the UK and wider EMEA region.
- Essential: Deep knowledge of UK employment law.
- Highly desirable: Experience with France HR and employment law.
- Advantageous: Exposure to Germany, Spain, APAC frameworks.
- Ability to manage complex cases independently, demonstrating sound judgment.
- Skilled in delivering tough or sensitive messages while influencing outcomes across stakeholders.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks, thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, with a consultative, advisor-style approach.
- Experience working in a global matrix structure, balancing business goals with employee fairness and legal compliance.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
- Bonus: Fluency in French, Spanish, or German.
