International Event Co-ordinator
Reporting to: Head of International Trade and Partnerships
Location: Birmingham, Jewellery Quarter
Salary: £26,500-£28,500 (depending on experience)
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week

The British Allied Trades Federation (BATF) is seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised International Event Co-ordinator to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, coordinating events, travelling internationally and supporting businesses to succeed in global markets.
Working closely with the Head of International Trade and Partnerships, you will help deliver a programme of international trade exhibitions and events that support businesses across the jewellery, giftware and wider creative industries.
About BATF
Our mission is to make international trade more accessible, supported and successful for businesses across the UK jewellery, giftware and wider creative industries, helping members trade worldwide with confidence through expert advice, strategic partnerships, market insight and hands-on support at international trade shows.
About the Role
You will support the planning, promotion and delivery of BATF's international events programme, alongside selected UK events. International travel and attendance at overseas exhibitions are a core part of the role.
The successful candidate will co-ordinate exhibitor recruitment, marketing activity, event administration and logistics while acting as a key point of contact for members with event and international trade-related enquiries. You will work closely with colleagues to deliver a professional, responsive and member-focused service.

Key Responsibilities
International Events & Event Delivery
- Co-ordinate the promotion and delivery of international and UK events
- Recruit and support exhibitors
- Manage applications, contracts, payments, deadlines and event logistics
- Support event set-up, show operations and breakdown
- Represent BATF professionally at UK and international events
- Build relationships with organisers, suppliers, partners and exhibitors
Member Engagement
- Build positive relationships with members, prospective members and partners
- Respond to enquiries professionally and promptly
- Network at events and industry meetings
- Promote participation in events and international trade activities
- Gather and share feedback to support service improvement
Marketing & Communications
- Support marketing campaigns across website, email, social media and print channels
- Create and maintain event information and promotional content
- Support exhibitor recruitment and member engagement activity
International Trade Support
- Assist members with practical event and international trade enquiries
- Provide guidance on customs documentation, shipping, temporary exports and event procedures
- Maintain guidance notes, templates and resources
- Escalate specialist enquiries where appropriate
Team Support
- Work flexibly within a small team environment
- Support colleagues during busy periods and event delivery
- Travel internationally and within the UK as required
- Work occasional evenings and weekends during exhibitions and events
CRM, Health & Safety
- Maintain accurate records within the CRM system
- Follow BATF policies, procedures and IT requirements
- Comply with health, safety and security guidelines

Person Specification
Essential
- Experience co-ordinating events, projects or similar activities
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and digital systems
- Positive, proactive and dependable attitude
- Ability to work professionally in a busy event environment
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly internationally and within the UK
- Commercial awareness and ability to work within budgets
- Commitment to delivering excellent service
Desirable
- Experience marketing events or services
- Experience using CRM, website or email marketing platforms
- Knowledge of customs, exports, shipping or international event procedures
- Understanding of the jewellery, giftware or wider creative industries
- Experience working with trade associations, membership organisations or international partners
