International Field Service Engineer

Basingstoke, Hampshire

Up to £70,000 OTE. £4,800 Car Allowance + Mileage Allowance. Overtime, Overnight Allowances. Life Assurance - 5 x salary. European Travel. High Voltage & PLC Training. Monday to Friday. All Travel, Accommodation and Expenses Covered.

I am recruiting for my client, a specialist engineering business based in Basingstoke, who are looking to appoint an International Field Service Engineer to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased engineer who enjoys travel, problem solving and hands on engineering. The role offers regular travel across the UK and Europe, excellent earning potential and the opportunity to work on specialist industrial equipment within a technically advanced environment.

The Role

  • Travel across the UK and Europe carrying out installation, commissioning, service and maintenance activities.
  • Typically work away Monday to Thursday or Friday.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, electronic and electro mechanical faults.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown support.
  • Provide technical support to customers.
  • Support testing, commissioning and preparation activities from the Basingstoke facility when not travelling.
  • Approximately 70% international travel and 30% site based support activities.
  • Ensure work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.

What We're Looking For

  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical, Electronic or Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong electrical fault finding skills.
  • Experience working on industrial machinery, plant equipment or technical systems.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK and Europe.
  • Full UK driving licence and passport.
  • Self motivated and adaptable approach.
