Assistant Vice President, EMEA Fund Finance

The Firm is seeking to recruit an Assistant Vice President to join the EMEA Fund Finance team, supporting a range of European funds across multiple asset classes. Based in London, the individual will play a key role within the regional finance function and report directly to the Managing Director leading the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a primary point of coordination across a broad network of internal and external stakeholders, including global finance teams, Tax, Treasury, Accounting Policy, Product Control, Investor Relations, fund administrators, and external advisors.
- Lead all core fund accounting and administration activities across assigned structures, including oversight of the monthly and quarterly NAV close process, investor capital activity, distributions, management fee calculations, carried interest/promote allocations, liquidity and cash flow forecasting, expense allocations, and corporate G&A reporting.
- Review and challenge complex fund transactions and accounting treatments, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on fund structures and transactions, with particular focus on IFRS and industry best practice across alternative investment vehicles.
- Partner closely with senior stakeholders across Legal, Compliance, Tax, Treasury, and Technology teams to enhance governance, strengthen controls, and drive scalable operating processes across the platform.
- Support delivery of management reporting, FP&A analysis, and strategic insights for senior leadership, including Board-level reporting and ad hoc business analysis.
- Oversee relationships with external auditors, administrators, and tax advisors, ensuring efficient execution of audits, tax reporting, and statutory deliverables across jurisdictions.
- Manage, mentor, and develop junior team members across London and offshore support functions, ensuring effective prioritization, delegation, and execution of deliverables within a fast-paced environment.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives, process improvement projects, systems implementations, and broader operational enhancement programmes across the EMEA finance platform.

Qualifications & Experience
- ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualified accountant with 4+ years of post-qualification experience, ideally within private equity, private credit, or alternative asset management.
- Strong understanding of fund structures, fund accounting, and investor servicing within closed-ended investment vehicles.
- Advanced technical accounting knowledge, particularly under IFRS; exposure to Lux GAAP, UK GAAP, or US GAAP would be advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience managing teams and working effectively across international and cross-functional environments.
- Strong analytical and commercial mindset, with the ability to interpret complex financial information and communicate key insights clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with experience working across large and complex datasets.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management capabilities, with the confidence to engage effectively with senior management and external counterparties.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines within a dynamic environment.
- Proactive, solutions-driven approach with strong ownership mentality and commitment to continuous improvement.
