About Skybound Wealth Management

Skybound Wealth Management is a global financial advisory firm with employees across the UK, USA, Switzerland, Cyprus, Spain and Dubai. We provide tailored financial planning and wealth management advice to international professionals and high-net-worth clients worldwide, supported by specialist teams across wealth planning, investments, tax, compliance, and operations.

About the Role

We are looking for an ambitious, commercially minded individual to join Skybound Wealth Management as an International Financial Planning Associate. This is not a traditional administrative support role. It is a career-development position for someone who wants to build a long-term career in international wealth management and has the potential to progress into a Private Wealth Adviser role and future leadership within the business. You will work closely with an experienced Private Wealth Adviser, gaining direct exposure to international clients, financial planning, investments, cross-border considerations and business development. A major part of the role will also involve helping to grow the adviser's client base. You will research international markets, identify prospective clients, engage with professionals and high-net-worth individuals, and help develop new client relationships. For the right person, the role will develop beyond supporting an adviser. We want someone who can take ownership, contribute ideas, help drive the team's performance, and eventually develop and manage client relationships of their own. The company will support your development through industry-recognised qualifications, including progression towards the CISI Level 4 Investment Advice Diploma, with the long-term objective of developing you into a qualified Private Wealth Adviser.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly alongside a Private Wealth Adviser in managing and developing an international client base.
  • Research and identify prospective high-net-worth professionals and expatriate clients across international markets.
  • Proactively engage prospective clients through LinkedIn, telephone, email and other professional networks.
  • Introduce Skybound Wealth Management's services and identify potential financial planning opportunities.
  • Generate, qualify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Build professional relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Assist with the preparation of client meetings, financial planning reports, investment proposals and presentations.
  • Conduct research into international investments, pensions, financial products and cross-border planning considerations.
  • Develop an understanding of clients' financial objectives and assist the adviser in constructing appropriate planning strategies.
  • Maintain high-quality and accurate client and CRM records.
  • Coordinate with internal investment, tax, compliance and operational teams.
  • Take ownership of projects and contribute ideas for improving client acquisition and the wider team's performance.
  • Work towards professional financial planning qualifications and progressively take on greater client-facing responsibility.
  • Develop the skills required to eventually manage and advise your own portfolio of international clients.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Whom We're Looking For

We are looking for someone with potential, ambition and leadership qualities, rather than simply someone looking for their first job in financial services.

You should be:

  • Highly ambitious and motivated to build a career in wealth management.
  • Commercially minded and interested in how businesses develop and win clients.
  • Confident communicating with senior professionals and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Proactive and comfortable taking initiative rather than waiting to be given tasks.
  • Naturally organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Analytical and comfortable working with numbers and financial information.
  • Curious about financial markets, investments, economics and international affairs.
  • Comfortable working towards targets and measurable objectives.
  • Able to work independently while contributing strongly within a team.
  • Resilient and comfortable approaching new people and developing professional relationships.
  • Someone who demonstrates leadership potential and is willing to take responsibility.
  • Keen to develop professionally through industry qualifications.

Experience and Background

We are open to high-performing graduates, school leavers and early-career professionals. A degree is not essential, but candidates with backgrounds in finance, economics, business, mathematics, law or related disciplines may be particularly suited to the role. Previous experience in any of the following would be advantageous:

The Person We Want to Develop

This role will suit someone who does not want to remain in a support position. We are looking for someone who wants to learn the technical side of financial planning, understand how to develop a client base, become confident dealing with high-net-worth clients and ultimately progress into an adviser and leadership position.

You may be early in your career, but you should already be able to demonstrate ambition, maturity, initiative and the ability to influence or lead others.

If you are competitive, commercially aware, interested in international finance and want to build a serious long-term career in wealth management, we would like to hear from you.

Skybound Wealth Management is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates regardless of background.
