The Opportunity
An international law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Real Estate team in London. This role is ideal for a real estate lawyer with strong transactional experience and meaningful exposure to the hotels sector, who is looking to broaden their practice while continuing to work on high-profile hospitality assets.
This is not a pure hotels role. The successful candidate will advise on a diverse range of commercial real estate matters across multiple asset classes while acting on hotel acquisitions, disposals, developments, financings, management agreements, and operational real estate issues for leading investors, developers, operators, and institutional clients.
The team is involved in some of the market's most complex and high-value transactions, offering excellent client exposure, responsibility, and opportunities for progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising clients on a wide range of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, asset management and development projects.
- Supporting investors, hotel owners, operators, and lenders on hotel and hospitality sector transactions.
- Working on hotel acquisitions and disposals, development projects, management and franchise arrangements, and real estate aspects of operational hospitality businesses.
- Managing transaction processes, coordinating due diligence, and negotiating transaction documents.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through direct involvement in matters and business development initiatives.
- Supervising junior lawyers and contributing to the development of the wider team.
- Collaborating with colleagues across finance, corporate, construction, tax, and planning teams on multidisciplinary matters.

Candidate Profile
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with significant post-qualification experience, typically gained within a leading real estate practice.
- Strong commercial real estate background with exposure to hotels, hospitality, or leisure sector work.
- Experience advising on complex investment, development, and asset management transactions.
- Commercially minded with excellent drafting, negotiation, and project management skills.
- Comfortable handling client relationships and taking ownership of transactions.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative approach and an interest in mentoring junior lawyers.
- Ambitious and motivated to develop a long-term career within a leading international practice.
