International Growth Director - Manufacturing
We are supporting our UK Manufacturing client with their search for an International Growth Director.
The business has strong products, UK manufacturing capability and an established international distribution footprint. It now wants to accelerate its global growth by prioritising the right markets, strengthening its distributor network and developing new OEM and strategic customer relationships.
Core Ownership
- Identifying and prioritising the most attractive international markets
- Developing clear country, product and customer growth plans
- Assessing and strengthening the existing distributor network
- Identifying, appointing and onboarding new distribution partners
- Building relationships with OEMs and strategic accounts
- Developing opportunities across North America, Europe and Oceania
- Establishing effective pricing, pipeline, forecasting and distributor-performance disciplines
- Working with operations, finance and technical colleagues to ensure the business can support increased international demand
- Identifying product, certification and market-entry requirements
- Building a repeatable international commercial model and recommending the future team structure

We are looking for a hands-on international growth leader who has taken technically differentiated products into new markets and can demonstrate how they personally created commercial traction.

- Evidence of markets personally opened or materially accelerated
- Experience appointing, developing and challenging distributors
- Strong OEM and strategic-account development capability
- Understanding of pricing, margin, stock, forecasting and working capital
- Experience navigating technical standards, certification or product localisation
- The ability to combine strategic judgement with hands-on commercial execution
- Experience operating within a specialist, mid-sized or growth-focused manufacturing business
- A track record of building commercial capability rather than remaining the sole source of growth
