Make your mark at BRE!

BRE is a world-leading global organisation for innovation, science and data in the built environment. For over 100 years, we have supported governments, businesses and industry with pioneering research, testing and expertise. We are focused on growth, scale and expanding our global impact with products, services, standards and qualifications that address the challenges of a changing world. Driven by our purpose of helping everyone, in every building, everywhere, we are creating a safer, more sustainable built environment for people and planet.

Are you an experienced engineer, quality professional, or auditor looking for a role that combines technical expertise with international travel? As an International Lead Auditor, you'll play a key role in ensuring products and manufacturing processes meet recognised standards, helping clients maintain certification, improve quality, and build trust in their products worldwide.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected organisation where you'll gain exposure to a diverse range of industries, receive specialist training, and work with clients across the globe.

About The Role

As an International Lead Auditor within BRE's Assurance team, you'll deliver management systems and Factory Production Control (FPC) audits that support product certification schemes across the built environment sector.

Working remotely and travelling extensively, you'll plan and conduct audits at client sites in the UK and internationally, assess compliance against ISO standards and certification requirements, document findings, and support clients through the certification process.

No two weeks are the same. You could be auditing electronics manufacturers, metalworking facilities, chemical production sites, or other manufacturing environments, helping organisations demonstrate compliance and maintain certification standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organise and deliver management systems and FPC audits for certification schemes.
  • Assess compliance against ISO standards, scheme requirements, and relevant industry criteria.
  • Produce clear, accurate audit reports and submit them within agreed timescales.
  • Review corrective actions and responses to non-conformities raised during audits.
  • Build professional relationships with clients while maintaining audit independence.
  • Manage your own audit schedule and travel arrangements to meet operational objectives.
  • Support the ongoing development of certification services and new customer engagements.
  • Represent BRE professionally during client visits, witnessed audits, and accreditation activities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
