Lion Secure Despatch Ltd is a UK-based logistics provider established in 2003, now serving customers nationwide from its head office in Nottinghamshire. The company offers tailored same-day collection and delivery services, handling everything from single envelopes to multi-pallet loads, with rapid collection targets for urgent consignments. Goods are transported in dedicated vehicles to ensure secure, time-sensitive delivery. Lion Secure Despatch also provides European and worldwide freight forwarding, including full vehicle loads, ADR, hazardous, and time-critical shipments. The business works with carefully selected carriers to deliver reliable, flexible logistics solutions.
Role Description
The International Logistics Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Nottinghamshire, responsible for managing day-to-day international and domestic freight movements. This position coordinates bookings, schedules, and routing for European and worldwide shipments, including time-critical and specialized loads, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and customer requirements. The role involves communicating with carriers, customers, and internal teams to confirm shipment details, resolve issues, and provide timely updates. The coordinator monitors inventory and shipment status, maintains accurate documentation, and uses logistics systems to track performance and costs. This role also supports continuous improvement by analyzing delivery data, identifying service gaps, and contributing to more efficient logistics processes.

- Strong Analytical Skills to interpret logistics data, monitor shipment performance, and support problem solving.
- Effective Communication and Customer Service skills to manage stakeholder expectations, handle inquiries, and maintain professional relationships.
- Inventory Management and Supply Chain Management skills to oversee stock movements, coordinate freight flows, and support operational efficiency.
- Relevant experience in international logistics, freight forwarding, or transportation coordination is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of ADR, hazardous goods regulations, and time-critical delivery processes is an advantage.
- Proficiency with logistics or ERP software, MS Office applications, and basic data reporting tools is preferred.
- Ability to work accurately under time pressure, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
