Brighouse, West Yorkshire
£38,000–£42,000 DOE plus uncapped bonus scheme
Full-time, permanent
Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
International travel required

The Role
Our client is looking for an ambitious, commercially driven International Market Development Lead to accelerate its international growth by developing new distribution partnerships and expanding its presence across global markets.
This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to make a real impact. You’ll be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, securing high-quality distribution partners and helping shape the company’s international growth strategy.

You’ll take ownership of developing international markets by identifying, engaging and securing new distribution partners while building long-term commercial relationships that support sustainable growth.
Working closely with colleagues across Sales, Marketing and the wider business, you’ll help deliver the company’s international growth ambitions through a combination of strategic business development, market research and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify and secure new international distribution partners.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of new business opportunities.
- Research and develop opportunities within existing and emerging international markets.
- Negotiate and secure profitable commercial agreements.
- Build lasting relationships with distributors and key customers.
- Support international marketing activities, exhibitions and trade events.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to deliver successful partner onboarding.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline management and sales forecasts.
- Represent the company internationally through customer visits and market travel.
About You
Our client is looking for someone who is commercially driven, proactive and passionate about developing new business opportunities. You’ll be confident building relationships across different cultures, comfortable identifying and securing new opportunities, and able to work independently while collaborating with colleagues across the business.
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
- Experience in business development, international sales, channel sales or distributor management, ideally within manufacturing, automotive, lubricants, industrial products or international B2B distribution.
- A proven ability to generate new business, negotiate commercial agreements and build long-term customer relationships.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to understand markets, identify opportunities and translate insights into commercial growth.
- Excellent communication, organisational and relationship-building skills, together with a willingness to travel internationally.
