We also collaborate with partners on the development of TransCon-based products in other therapeutic areas and markets.

We are seeking an International Marketing Director, Hypoparathyroidism to join our growing team. As the International Marketing Director, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that Yorvipath is successfully positioned, launched and accessible in target international markets. This position requires a deep understanding of the market landscape, including market access, patient pathways, and regulatory environments. You will have a proven track record in developing and executing international marketing plans with partners, driving brand strategy, and enhancing customer engagement. Experience of both managing a portfolio of products in a competitive space and lifecycle management initiatives is critical.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  1. Strategic Planning
    • Develop and implement a cohesive hypoparathyroidism marketing strategy acting as a bridge between global marketing teams and local territory partner execution.
    • Collate partner feedback and analyse market trends, competitive landscape, and patient needs to inform strategy.
  2. Brand Management
    • Drive brand positioning and value proposition for Yorvipath across international markets.
    • Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all marketing channels.
  3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with global marketing, R&D, regulatory, intl digital, market access & medical affairs colleagues to align marketing strategies with business objectives.
    • Collaborate with regional partner teams to tailor strategies that meet local market needs.
  4. Market Access and Commercialization
    • Support and implement go-to-market strategies that optimize product access and reimbursement.
    • Identify opportunities for partnerships and collaborations to enhance market presence.
  5. Patient and Healthcare Professional Engagement
    • Design and oversee initiatives to educate healthcare professionals and stakeholders on management of growth disorders and treatment options.
    • Facilitate patient-centric marketing strategies to increase awareness and support for rare diseases.
  6. Performance Metrics
    • Define success metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
    • Conduct regular market research and analyse data to optimize marketing efforts.
  7. Project Management
    • Lead and manage multiple core marketing projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to deadlines.
    • Prepare progress reports and updates for senior management and other stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Life Sciences, and/or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in international strategic and executional marketing with partners in the life sciences industry.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and a data-driven approach.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and multicultural environment.

  • Proven experience in endocrinology, rare diseases and/or specialty pharmaceuticals is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience with international regulatory submissions and interactions with health authorities.

The International Marketing Director, Hypoparathyroidism will report to the Head of International Strategic Marketing.

International definition:

  • Canada, LATAM, Central & Eastern Europe & Eurasia, Israel, Middle East, South Africa, ANZ, APAC, South Korea.

Location:

  • The role should be based in a market where we have an Ascendis European office (UK, Spain, Italy, Germany, Switzerland or Denmark).

This is expected to be a remote role that may require some travel to Copenhagen Head Office and international partner markets, participation in industry conferences, and meetings with stakeholders (~20%). Flexibility in work hours may be necessary to accommodate global time zones.

For applicants in Italy, the range for this position is between 114.600 – 132.700 EUR. Pay range included in accordance with the legal requirements in Italy.
