International Operations Coordinator - Consumer Goods
North London | Hybrid | 2-3 days a week in the office | Competitive salary + benefits
The Company
I'm working with a successful international consumer goods business that's continuing to grow across global markets. They're looking for an International Operations Coordinator to join their international team, working with customers, overseas factories and suppliers across orders, production lead times and delivery.
I've recruited for the business for a number of years and it's genuinely a great place to work. There's a real buzz around the office, the team is close-knit and people tend to stay because there are lots of opportunities to learn and develop.
The Role
It's a really varied role. You'll work with international customers, colleagues in the US, manufacturing partners in Asia and teams across Sales, Planning and Supply Chain.
You'll be involved from the point an order comes in, through purchasing and production, keeping on top of factory lead times and any issues along the way, right through to delivery.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Day to day, you'll be:
- Coordinating international customer orders through production and delivery
- Working directly with overseas factories and suppliers on orders, production and lead times
- Keeping track of production and flagging delays or issues
- Keeping customers updated and managing different requirements across international markets
- Coordinating quantities, purchasing, delivery dates and product information
- Working closely with Sales, Planning, Supply Chain and Procurement
- Sorting out problems when timings, quantities or requirements change
- Looking at where processes could work better
It's not a role where you'll just be following the same process every day. Things change, problems come up and you'll have the freedom to use your judgement and work out the best way forward.

The Person
For this hire, experience of working with factories or suppliers and production lead times is important. You'll ideally have worked in a consumer product business and have a good understanding of what happens from an order being placed through to production and delivery.
You might currently work in operations, buying, merchandising, production or supply. I'm fairly open on exact background, but you'll need to be used to coordinating lots of moving parts and comfortable dealing with both customers and suppliers.
You'll be organised, good with detail and a confident communicator. More than anything, you'll be someone who takes ownership, asks questions when something doesn't look right and gets on with finding a solution.
If this sounds like the sort of role you'd enjoy, I'd love to hear from you.
