As a Road Logistics Cross Border Specialist, you will play a key role in managing cross-border road freight operations across Europe, ensuring seamless movement of shipments while delivering outstanding customer service. Working closely with customers, carriers, customs teams, and colleagues across the Kuehne+Nagel network, you will help deliver efficient, compliant, and customer-focused transport solutions.

How you create impact

  • Manage international road freight shipments, including import, export, cross-trade, and domestic distribution movements.
  • Coordinate transport planning activities and ensure accurate communication with operational teams, carriers, and network partners.
  • Create and manage transport documentation, manifests, GMRs, ferry bookings, and shipment-related records.
  • Provide spot and lane quotations, identifying the most effective and competitive transport solutions.
  • Support the onboarding of new customers, including SOP creation and operational implementation activities.
  • Monitor shipments from origin to destination, proactively managing exceptions and communicating updates to stakeholders.
  • Support customs-related activities by ensuring accuracy of documentation and compliance with import and export requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, hauliers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional service performance.

What we would like you to bring

  • Experience within road freight, transport planning, freight forwarding, logistics operations, or a similar environment.
  • Understanding of international road transport operations and cross-border freight movements.
  • Knowledge of customs processes and import/export documentation requirements.
  • Experience preparing quotations and coordinating transport solutions.
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
