Department: International Payments

Location: United Kingdom

Description

As more businesses expand across borders, managing international payments has become increasingly important—and increasingly complex. Beyond paying employees, organisations need to process statutory, third-party, and other global payments accurately, securely, and on time. That's where our team comes in.

As an International Payments Coordinator, you'll be responsible for managing customer payment accounts and overseeing the end-to-end payment process. Working closely with your customers, you'll ensure payments are set up correctly, processed efficiently, and delivered without issue, taking ownership of each transaction from start to finish.

We have UK offices in Edinburgh and Aberdeen - we are open to hybrid working from either of these locations, or on a fully remote basis.

On a typical day, you'll be...

  • Processing payments into activpayroll client bank accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
  • Collecting, reviewing, and validating supporting documentation for payment transactions.
  • Investigating and resolving unexpected or unfamiliar transactions, escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Reconciling bank accounts and providing proof of payment to meet customer requirements.
  • Uploading and allocating daily client banking transactions within the finance system, ensuring accurate allocation to the appropriate creditor accounts.
  • Monitoring payment statuses and proactively resolving payment exceptions or delays.
  • Liaising with banking partners and internal teams to resolve payment queries efficiently.
  • Ensuring all payments comply with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and client-specific instructions.
  • Maintaining accurate payment records and audit documentation.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve payment processes and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborating with global colleagues to ensure consistent service delivery across regions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
