International Payroll Specialist Position
We are looking for an International Payroll Specialist to join our team in London. You will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll process and work closely with HR, Global Mobility, and Finance Department. This is a hybrid position based in London and includes regular attendance in the office each week per your departmental guidance.
Responsibilities
- Be the key contact person for external payroll providers, HR, and Finance Department, responsible for the monthly end-to-end payroll process for the assigned countries.
- Process payroll information from Workday to Cloudpay (Integration validation and input information via template).
- Managing new joiners and terminations.
- Review reports and liaise with internal partners to ensure the data/all changes are accurate and complete.
- Ensure all employees are accurately recorded in Workday.
- Post reconciliation, provide approval to third-party payroll providers.
- Total payroll (earnings, voluntary, and mandatory deductions) will be provided to Finance and Newsroom Accountants for verification to General Ledger.
- Ensure all legal, social, and pension obligations are handled in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Respond to employee enquiries in a proactive and courteous manner.
- Managing the year-end processes.
- Managing risk within your role. Escalating when appropriate.
- Provide support for audit enquiries.
- Perform Ad-hoc reconciliation and research any discrepancies.
Basic Qualifications
- Extensive payroll experience, including previous experience on multi-country international payroll.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Excel and Word).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present clear information, convey ideas, and prepare reports.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments, employees, and external vendors through a collaborative and proactive approach.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with France, Germany, Canada, and UK payrolls
- Experience using Workday / Cloudpay.
- Conversational or business fluency in French or Spanish.
- Understanding of Payroll Accounting principles.
- Naturally curious, willing to question and learn legal, statutory, and social security requirements for each country.
Additional Compensation and Benefits
For roles in the U.S., dependent on your role, you may be eligible for variable pay, such as an annual bonus and restricted stock.
