International Payroll Specialist – Belgium

Job Description

What You’ll Do

Your work here will push you to develop, challenge, and excel:

  • Manage end-to-end payroll operations for assigned international markets, ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery.
  • Coordinate payroll inputs with local stakeholders and providers, monitoring deadlines and mitigating risks.
  • Conduct payroll validations, audit-compliant checks, and year-end activities while supporting internal/external audit requirements.
  • Serve as key contact for payroll queries, finance reconciliations, tax submissions, and third-party payments.
  • Lead regular meetings with payroll providers and align with global payroll teams to track and resolve actions/issues.
  • Maintain documentation integrity, ensure compliance with local legislation, and drive process improvements, supporting the wider payroll team as needed.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring with You:

We’re looking for a senior payroll specialist with expertise in Belgium’s regulatory landscape:

  • 5+ years of payroll experience, ideally with Belgian payroll exposure.
  • Professional accreditation (e.g., CIPP or international equivalent) with deep knowledge of payroll laws & compliance.
  • Skilled in analytical problem-solving, sourcing issues, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Fluent Excel & Microsoft Office skills, precision-driven with ironclad attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management to thrive across diverse teams and external suppliers.
  • A proactive, organised, and resilient mindset—capable of juggling priorities in a fast-paced environment.
