International Payroll Specialist – Belgium | 18-Month FTC

Reading (Hybrid – 2 days in-office, Wednesdays essential)
£45,000–£60,000

A business-critical payroll seat has opened up covering a live Belgian payroll (2,000+ employees) while the usual specialist is seconded onto a major projects workstream. This isn't a role for someone who needs hand-holding, you'll need to be genuinely autonomous and hit the ground running from week one.

Ask yourself:
Do you know international payroll well enough to run with minimal oversight?
Can you challenge and direct a payroll provider when something isn't right, rather than just processing what you're handed?

If Belgium is your strength, great but strong experience across Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary or the Netherlands will also get you a serious look.

What you'll own:

  • Full day-to-day responsibility for the Belgian payroll including data collation, provider submission, and audit-compliant output checks
  • Leading monthly provider meetings and holding them to account on accuracy and turnaround
  • Payroll calendars, year-end activity, and on-time tax/third-party payment submissions
  • Weekly, proactive updates to in-country HR and UK payroll/HR teams
  • Spotting process gaps and legislative changes before they become problems

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
