You will be a member of the FX DAC team based in the UK (and part of a global team based across HK, Singapore, Switzerland and New York), with direct client coverage for FX & PM, which includes delivering bespoke advice, execution solutions, and ongoing risk management support in these asset classes.
You will form an integrated part of a coverage team that focuses primarily on UHNW clients (both existing and prospective), with this role having a specific focus on driving FX & Precious Metals (both cash and derivatives) activity across the client spectrum.
The wider coverage team is responsible for managing the portfolios (both discretionary and non-discretionary) of Private Banking clients across a range of products (equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, OTC derivatives, structured products, alternative investments and private equity).
You will be expected to work closely with the Solutions team that has a responsibility for developing market views, investigating and determining the best execution vehicles to express market views (both tactical and longer-term), as well as the marketing of investment ideas.
Job Responsibilities
- Working closely with the broader coverage team to ensure that FX activity is aligned with clients’ investment plans and objectives.
- Increasing FX activity with existing clients, as well as working with key stakeholders to identify potential new clients who might be suitable for the DAC offering.
- Daily client interaction (over the phone or in person) to discuss markets and to offer solutions.
- Quantitative and qualitative analysis on markets and trade ideas.
- Developing and presenting ideas that may be suitable across the franchise.
- Building relationships with key stakeholders across the PB in Asia, EMEA and the US.
- Developing connectivity with sales, trading and research partners within JP Morgan CIB.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Must have relevant experience in FX / PM markets (either advising clients, trading or structuring).
- There is a core and critical need for quantitative and technical skills for this position, including an extensive knowledge of FX options, specifically from a risk management standpoint. Suitable backgrounds could include FX options trading, FX options structuring, or a sales role requiring a high degree of proficiency in derivatives.
- Understanding of market risks from a pricing and execution perspective. Efficiency and accuracy in pricing various trade strategies.
- Proficiency with electronic trading systems is preferred.
- Demonstrating a strong interest and passion for financial markets, international affairs and geopolitical events.
- Superior analytical and marketing skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into simple, practical forms.

- Communication style that will enhance credibility and create trust with clients; strong presentation skills.
