International Private Client Tax Manager
We are a growing professional services firm providing tax, advisory, and business consulting services to a broad range of private clients, entrepreneurs, international families, and privately owned businesses. Our private client team advises individuals and family structures on complex domestic and cross-border tax matters, delivering tailored solutions in a collaborative and client-focused environment.
We are seeking an experienced International Private Client Tax Manager to join our expanding private client team. The role offers the opportunity to work with internationally connected individuals, families, and offshore structures, supporting both advisory and compliance matters while contributing to team development and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Client Management & Service Delivery
- Manage a portfolio of private clients with complex international tax affairs
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, family offices, trustees, fiduciaries, and professional intermediaries
- Deliver high-quality tax compliance and advisory services to clients and associated structures
- Build and maintain strong long-term client relationships
- Work closely with senior leadership on complex planning and advisory matters

Advisory & International Tax Planning
- Advise on a broad range of international private client tax issues, including:
- Individuals moving to and from the UK
- Residence and domicile matters
- Cross-border tax planning
- Foreign income and gains issues
- Succession and estate planning
- Asset protection and trust structures
- Capital gains tax and inheritance tax planning
- Lead or support advisory projects depending on complexity and client requirements
- Provide technically robust and commercially practical solutions for clients
Collaboration & Business Development
- Collaborate with colleagues across tax, accounting, valuations, and advisory teams to provide integrated client solutions
- Support business development initiatives with existing and prospective clients
- Maintain relationships with intermediaries and referral networks
- Identify opportunities for additional advisory work and client services

Team Leadership & Development
- Oversee compliance and advisory work prepared by junior team members
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance to developing staff
- Support the development of junior colleagues through feedback and knowledge sharing
- Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team culture
Skills & Experience
Qualifications
- CTA, ACA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred
Experience
- Strong experience in private client tax within a professional services environment
- Significant exposure to international private client tax matters
- Experience advising internationally mobile individuals and offshore structures
- Demonstrable experience managing both advisory projects and complex compliance matters
- Experience managing client relationships and coordinating multiple stakeholders
- Previous people management or mentoring experience
