Role overview
We are recruiting for an International Referrals Administrator in Business Services.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate with an interest in international relations to join a leading international law firm. The role supports the firm's international relationship-building activities, principally with strategic referral partners (law firms around the world), working closely with fee earners and colleagues across the firm.
The successful candidate will play an important role in collecting, maintaining and analysing referral and relationship data, helping the team track activity, identify trends and support strategic decision-making. This role enables the development of valuable skills in stakeholder engagement, data management and relationship intelligence.
The successful candidate will report directly to a senior member of the team who specialises in International Relations.
Key responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role are set out below and there may be others which are not listed. You may be required on occasion to work outside our normal working hours of 9:30am to 5:30pm.
- Recording and updating key information in respect of international clients and matters – with a particular focus on referral information – in the central client relationship management system, matter intake system, team trackers, document/email management system and mailbox folders.
- Liaising with fee-earners to obtain valuable information in relation to international clients and matters – in particular referral information - and then recording this in a systematic and consistent way, so that it can be easily accessed and analysed.
- Producing reports which present the information collected and recorded, ready for deeper analysis.
- Working closely with members of the team to help support the provision of robust referral suggestions.
- Feeding into best practice guides and training in respect of how information related to international clients and matters is collected and recorded.
- Taking part in systems testing and being the point of contact for queries on these systems.
- Wider information-tagging and cleansing tasks to maintain the quality of international client and matter information.
- Providing additional support to members of the team when larger data sets need to be sourced; extracted from; and/or uploaded onto, the client relationship management system, team trackers, document/email management system and mailbox folder.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
