International Relationships Executive
As an International Relationships Executive, you will support the firm's international business development and relationship-building activities with a particular focus on country and regional ‘desks’ (collaborative groups) in markets where we do not have offices, our membership of international networks and associations, and our international relationships programme.
You will work closely with partners, relationship leads, and colleagues across the Business Development and Marketing team to help deliver initiatives that support the firm's international growth objectives. This activity is led by the firm’s International Relationships Committee (IRC).
This role reports to the International Relationships Manager (IRM) and works closely with the Head of International Relationships. The Executive is part of the broader International Relationships and Business Development team, collaborating with colleagues across our international offices and the wider Client Development, Marketing and Relationships function. The role also works closely with other business services teams including Communications, Digital, Events, and IT.

- Drafting and coordinating internal communications to promote the international programme, including newsletters, intranet content, and other internal communications initiatives.
- Supporting the coordination and submission of legal directory and award submissions, working with partners and colleagues to ensure content is delivered accurately and on time.
- Supporting relationships with external organisations, including chambers of commerce, business associations, and market-focused groups.
- Undertaking market and client research to support desk activity and business development initiatives.
- Supporting pitches, credentials, and other business development opportunities involving the desks.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
