Territory: Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA)

Position Overview

The International Sales Manager is responsible for managing and growing Kayou's distributor network throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This is a highly commercial role requiring strong relationship management, sales planning, negotiation, and market development skills.

The successful candidate will act as the primary commercial contact for assigned distributors, ensuring sales targets are achieved while supporting product launches, forecasting demand, and identifying new business opportunities.

Working closely with the Sales Director, Marketing, Operations, and Product teams, the International Sales Manager will contribute to Kayou's international expansion by executing the company's sales strategy and delivering sustainable revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute sales strategies for assigned EMEA territories.
  • Achieve and exceed annual and quarterly sales targets.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from opportunity identification through order execution.
  • Identify, qualify, and onboard new distributors and strategic partners.

Distributor Account Management

  • Build long-term relationships with distributors across the EMEA region.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial discussions.
  • Monitor distributor performance through sales KPIs and agreed business plans.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with key partners.
  • Support distributors with product assortment, launch planning, promotional activities, and inventory management.
  • Resolve commercial issues efficiently while maintaining strong customer satisfaction.

Forecasting & Planning

  • Collaborate with distributors to anticipate demand and optimize inventory planning.
  • Work closely with Operations and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely product availability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with Marketing on product launches, campaigns, and promotional initiatives.
  • Support Finance regarding payment follow-up and account reconciliation when necessary.
  • Ensure smooth communication between distributors and Kayou's internal departments.

Trade Shows & Events

  • Represent Kayou at international trade fairs, industry exhibitions, hobby conventions, and distributor meetings.
  • Conduct product presentations and commercial negotiations.
  • Build relationships with retailers, wholesalers, and industry stakeholders.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Success in this role will be measured through:

  • Achievement of sales revenue targets.
  • Distributor growth and retention.
  • Sales forecast accuracy.

Candidate Profile

Experience

  • 3–7 years of experience in B2B sales or account management.
  • Experience managing international distributors.
  • Experience within collectibles, trading cards, toys, games, entertainment, licensing, hobby products, consumer goods, or FMCG is highly desirable.
  • Experience working across multiple EMEA markets.
  • Proven track record of delivering sales growth.

  • Strong commercial mindset with excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with international business partners.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and forecasting capabilities.
  • Highly organized with effective project management skills.

Languages

  • Fluent English (mandatory).
  • Additional European languages such as French, German, Spanish, Italian, or Arabic are considered a strong advantage.
  • Mandarin is a plus but not required.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred.

Reporting Structure

The International Sales Manager reports directly to the Sales Director and works closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Product Management. Regular performance reviews will focus on commercial objectives, account development, forecasting accuracy, and strategic initiatives.
