International Sales Manager – Ophthalmic Devices
We are partnering with an international manufacturer of high-quality ophthalmic reusable surgical instruments to appoint an International Sales Manager.
The business operates through an established distributor network and is now looking for someone to take ownership of sales across EMEA and APAC, strengthen existing partnerships and identify new opportunities across both regions.
This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants greater autonomy and the chance to directly influence the international growth strategy of a specialist ophthalmic manufacturer.
The Role
The International Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and developing the company’s distributor network across EMEA and APAC, identifying new distribution partners and driving commercial growth across both established and developing markets.
APAC represents a particularly strong area of growth potential for the business, so previous experience within the region would be advantageous.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of a significant international commercial remit within a specialist ophthalmic manufacturer.
The successful candidate will have significant influence over distributor strategy, market development and growth across EMEA and APAC, with the autonomy to identify where the biggest opportunities sit and how best to develop them.
It would particularly suit someone currently working within a larger ophthalmic organisation who is looking for more visibility, responsibility and influence over commercial decisions.
