Director – International Tax
Lead Complex Global Tax Advisory Projects in a Growing International Tax Practice
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced International Tax Director to join a high-performing and ambitious team advising multinational businesses on their most complex cross-border tax challenges.
Working with an impressive portfolio of large corporates, international groups and fast-growing businesses, you will play a key role in delivering strategic tax advice, driving business growth and helping clients navigate an increasingly complex global tax landscape. This position offers exposure to a broad range of international tax matters, a collaborative leadership team and significant opportunities to shape the future direction of the practice.
The Role
As an International Tax Director, you will lead client relationships and advise multinational organisations on a wide range of international tax issues, including:
- International tax structuring
- Cross-border reorganisations
- Refinancing and legal entity optimisation
- Pre and post-transaction tax planning
- Transfer pricing and operating model considerations
- Tax authority enquiries and dispute management
- Global tax policy developments, including BEPS 2.0 and Pillar Two
- International tax risk management and governance
You will work closely with senior stakeholders both internally and externally, delivering commercially focused solutions that help clients achieve their strategic objectives while managing tax risk effectively.

Key Responsibilities
- Managing and developing a portfolio of multinational clients across a range of sectors.
- Providing strategic international tax advice on complex cross-border transactions and business transformations.
- Advising on global structuring, operating model redesign and international expansion projects.
- Leading multi-jurisdictional engagements and coordinating international teams to deliver seamless client service.
- Supporting clients in responding to tax authority enquiries and evolving regulatory requirements.
- Translating complex technical tax issues into practical and commercially focused advice.
- Driving business development initiatives and identifying opportunities to expand relationships with both new and existing clients.
- Building strong internal and external networks to support growth and market presence.
- Mentoring and developing Managers, Senior Managers and future leaders within the team.
- Promoting a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing culture.
About You
- ACA, CTA, ACCA, CA or equivalent qualified.
- Extensive international tax experience gained within a leading professional services environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of international tax, corporate tax and cross-border structuring.
- Proven track record of leading complex advisory projects for multinational organisations.
- Experience managing senior client relationships and acting as a trusted adviser.
- Commercially minded with the ability to identify opportunities and deliver value-added solutions.
- Strong business development skills and a genuine interest in contributing to practice growth.
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
