As International Tax Manager
As International Tax Manager, you will take responsibility for the tax affairs of a designated region within DLA Piper's international business. Working closely with regional finance leaders and colleagues across the Central Tax Team, you will oversee tax compliance, year-end tax accounting, risk management and tax-related projects.
This is a broad and varied role offering significant exposure to international tax matters, global stakeholders and strategic business initiatives.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Manage the tax affairs of entities within your allocated region.
- Ensure tax compliance obligations are delivered accurately and on time.
- Review and oversee tax computations, returns and payments.
- Lead and support international tax projects and business initiatives.
- Manage year-end tax accounting, provisions and reporting activities.
- Act as a key contact for external advisers and auditors.
- Support transfer pricing, group structure and cross-border tax matters.
- Monitor and manage tax risk across the business.
- Build strong relationships with finance teams and stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
- Mentor and support junior team members.

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical tax knowledge with excellent stakeholder management and project delivery skills.

Essential
- ACA, CTA or equivalent professional qualification.
- Strong understanding of corporate and international tax principles.
- Experience managing complex tax compliance and reporting obligations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and tax research skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capability.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
Desirable
- Experience in international tax advisory, tax strategy or tax projects.
- Knowledge of cross-border tax structures and transfer pricing.
- Experience working within a large, complex international professional services organisation
- Exposure to professional services, partnerships or regulated environments.
