Job Description
Role Summary
Interprets government regulations as they apply to programs, products, processes, practices and procedures related to international trade activities. Maintains compliance with export/import regulations governing the shipment, receipt, documentation and recordkeeping of export/import activity or transactions. May be appointed an empowered official with authority to sign license applications or other requests for export/import authorization, with independent authority. May serve as a customs or import specialist. Investigates and resolves reports of potential noncompliance. Develops and implements policies and procedures to comply with export/import laws and regulations. Ensures regulatory reporting requirements are satisfied. Determines license requirements and manages license compliance. Establishes and maintains relationships with government licensing authorities and technology release decision makers to convey company position. Develops and implements compliance programs using automated tools. Conducts audits or assessments of compliance.
