Polish Speaking Team Leader – International Transactions
Location: Chipping Sodbury
Department: Business Service Centre (BSC) – International Transactions
Language Requirement: Fluent Polish and English
Salary: £32,200 - £37,000 depending on experience
Lead a High-Performing International Transactions Team
We are looking for an experienced Polish Speaking Team Leader to join our International BSC Transactions team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team responsible for processing invoices, purchase requisitions, and other key business transactions across multiple Heidelberg Materials countries.
As Team Leader, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and timely transaction processing while supporting, coaching, and developing a team of administrators and senior administrators. You will play a key role in maintaining service excellence, driving continuous improvement, and building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of up to 10 employees processing high volumes of transactions.
- Ensure all activities are completed in line with established procedures, training, controls, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and drive a "right first time" culture.
- Support employee development through coaching, training, performance management, and regular feedback.
Transaction Processing
- Process and support the resolution of complex and non-standard transactions.
- Apply strong knowledge of systems, policies, and end-to-end processes to ensure accurate outcomes.
- Escalate and resolve issues where necessary to maintain service delivery standards.

Customer Service
- Provide professional, timely, and meaningful responses to customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Build positive working relationships with stakeholders across Heidelberg Materials countries.
- Ensure a customer-focused approach is embedded within the team.
Problem Solving
- Investigate complex transaction issues and identify effective solutions.
- Carry out root cause analysis and provide recommendations to management.
- Support the resolution of service issues and prevent reoccurrence.
Subject Matter Expertise
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of relevant transaction processes.
- Act as a key point of contact for process guidance and support.
- Deliver training and knowledge sharing across the wider team when required.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies, process bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support and lead Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives and projects.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of best practices and operational excellence.
About You
We're looking for someone who can combine strong leadership skills with operational excellence and stakeholder management.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Fluent Polish and English language skills, both written and spoken.
- Previous experience leading or supervising a transactional, finance, shared services, or administrative team.
- Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working within SLA-driven environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to coach, develop, and motivate team members.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
