International Travel Coordinator
Location: Lakeside North Harbour, Cosham, PO6 3EN
Salary: £29,000 and £32,000 per annum (DOE)
Hybrid working is available once you are fully competent in the role and confidently settled into this position.

The role purpose
The Travel Co-ordinator plays a key role within the Travel Unit, supporting the organisation and management of complex, global repatriations. The role is responsible for coordinating safe, medically appropriate and cost-effective travel arrangements, often involving urgent and time-sensitive requirements.
Working closely with Technical Travel Co-ordinators, Case Handlers, Medical Teams, Airlines, Transport Suppliers and Security Risk Teams, the Travel Co-ordinator ensures that all elements of a client's journey are carefully planned and coordinated. This includes arranging flights, medical clearances, medical escorts, visas, ground transportation, accommodation and ambulance services, while ensuring that medical, airline, security and regulatory requirements are met.

The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and individual caseloads effectively. Travel Co-ordinators are expected to assess suitable travel options, complete accurate cost comparisons, maintain clear and accurate case records, and proactively identify and escalate any issues that could affect the safe or timely completion of a repatriation.
A key part of the position is working collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to ensure a seamless service. The Travel Co-ordinator will provide support across the wider Travel Unit, contributing to shared workloads and assisting colleagues during periods of high demand, while maintaining a consistently high level of customer care and ensuring the client's interests are protected.
Skills and experience
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of travel planning, logistics, geography and airport operations, with experience in a fast-paced travel environment. Excellent organisational and planning skills, exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage time effectively are essential.
Candidates should be proactive, self-motivated and confident working under pressure while managing multiple tasks and priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, together with the ability to develop positive working relationships with internal teams, medical staff, clients, airlines and third-party suppliers.
Previous experience in airport logistics, airline ticketing, business or leisure travel, including managing urgent or short notice travel arrangements, visa requirements and last-minute changes, is essential. Experience within comparable sectors such as marine, offshore, airport or other operational travel environments would also be valuable.
Essential experience
- Knowledge or recent experience using Amadeus GDS or a similar Global Distribution System
- Understanding of airline ticketing rules, regulations and procedures across a broad range of carriers.
