We are looking for a Hardware Engineering Intern
We are looking for a Hardware Engineering Intern to join our small team and contribute to the development of hardware for our agricultural technology products.
Role
This is a paid, practical, hands-on internship suited to someone interested in electronics, IoT, embedded systems, and hardware development.
- Support the design and development of IoT hardware prototypes, from initial concepts through to testing and iteration.
- Support field deployments, including installation, testing, and basic maintenance of devices.
- Work with suppliers and external technical partners where required.

You will work alongside our team to design, build, test, and improve hardware prototypes for real-world agricultural environments. You will gain experience across the hardware development process, from prototyping and testing through to field deployment.
About You
We are looking for someone who is practical, curious, and comfortable working in an early-stage startup environment. You may have experience with several of the following:
- Embedded systems and microcontrollers
- Electronics design and prototyping
- IoT devices and sensor integration
- PCB design and/or PCB assembly
- Camera and imaging hardware
- Battery and power management
- Solar-powered electronics
- Wireless communications such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LoRa/LoRaWAN, or cellular
- Raspberry Pi, ESP32, Arduino, or similar platforms
- Electronics testing and troubleshooting
- 3D printing, CAD, or enclosure design

Experience with remote monitoring systems would be particularly valuable.
You should also:
- Be comfortable working independently
- Hold a full UK driving licence and be able to travel to field sites when required
Working Arrangement
- Paid internship
- Location: South of England, with flexibility for remote/hybrid working
- Some hands-on prototyping and occasional field visits will be required
- Flexible working arrangement suitable for a student or recent graduate
