Company Description
Tata Motors Design UK is an integral part of the global Tata Motors Design network. The UK studio leads the development of future vehicle design programmes while supporting the wider organisation in creating a consistent and distinctive design language across the Tata Motors product portfolio.
The CMF Intern will play an active role in supporting the development and continuous improvement of our world-class Design operations in the UK. Working alongside experienced designers and cross-functional teams, the intern will contribute to CMF research, concept development, material innovation, and design communication activities, helping to shape future mobility solutions for Tata Motors.

Role Description
This on-site internship role is based in the West Midlands and offers hands-on experience within Tata Motors’ Design UK Studio. The CMF intern will contribute to the creative process by:
- Develop the ability to research and interpret consumer, social, and design trends, translating insights into relevant and innovative CMF themes.
- Benchmark competitor products and understand target customer expectations to inform design decisions.
- Create compelling CMF concepts and deliver both digital and physical presentations to effectively communicate ideas to design teams and suppliers.
- Support the development of advanced and production-ready CMF samples through close collaboration with suppliers.

Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant degree program (e.g., textile, fashion, product design).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in diverse, cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with common productivity and design softwares (e.g., MS Office and Adobe Suite) and willingness to learn company-specific systems.
- Demonstrated interest in automotive, mobility solutions, sustainability, or technology-driven innovation.
- Ability to work on-site in the West Midlands and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.
