We're recruiting on behalf of a global gaming business seeking a fluent English/Japanese Communication & Interpretation Specialist to provide translation and interpretation support across international teams.

This is an excellent opportunity to work for a well known brand supporting the development and delivery of innovative technology products.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Provide consecutive interpretation during meetings, workshops, and project discussions.
  • Translate a wide range of business materials between English and Japanese, including emails, presentations, technical documents, support tickets, and internal communications.
  • Deliver voice-over support for internal meetings and events.
  • Use CAT tools, maintain translation memories and glossaries, and carry out post-editing and linguistic quality checks.
  • Work closely with global colleagues to prioritise translation requests and provide seamless support across different time zones.

About You - You'll have:

  • Fluency in both English and Japanese (JLPT N1 and/or TOEIC 900 equivalent preferred).
  • Professional English/Japanese translation experience.
  • Experience providing business interpretation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Experience using Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools would be beneficial, as is knowledge of the gaming, software, or technology industries.
