We seek an experienced fundraising lead to help grow support for heritage conservation in Georgia by providing strategic guidance on fundraising and income generation, helping to identify new funding opportunities, strengthen donor relationships and build a sustainable supporter base.

This is an exciting chance to use your fundraising expertise to help a young award-winning and growing charity increase its impact and secure resources for vital cultural and natural heritage projects. Georgia has a wealth of these sites crying out for conservation but insufficient resources to address them. We also seek to invest in skill development of the next generation through training and international exchanges which would otherwise not be available to Georgians.
What are we looking for?
As Fundraising Lead Trustee
- Advise the Board on fundraising strategy and income diversification.
- Help identify opportunities for grants, trusts and foundations, major donors, corporate partnerships and individual giving.
- Support the development of fundraising campaigns and donor engagement initiatives.
- Use relevant networks and contacts to help expand NTGFA's supporter base.
- Provide guidance on donor stewardship and relationship management.
- Support funding applications and fundraising communications where appropriate.
- Help ensure fundraising activities are ethical, effective and compliant with relevant regulations.
- Encourage a fundraising culture across the Board and wider volunteer network.
- Monitor fundraising performance and help evaluate opportunities for growth.

We welcome applications from individuals with experience in one or more of the following
- Charitable fundraising and fundraising strategy planning
- Trusts and foundations fundraising
- Individual giving programmes
- Major donor development
- Corporate partnerships and sponsorship
- Philanthropy and development
- International fundraising
- Grant writing and bid development
- Marketing, communications or digital fundraising
Experience within the heritage, cultural, environmental, educational or international development sectors would be particularly valuable, although not essential.

Help protect Georgia's heritage for future generations
The National Trust of Georgia Friends Abroad (NTGFA) is a UK registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation established to support the work of The National Trust of Georgia, an independent charitable organisation dedicated to protecting Georgia's cultural and natural heritage. NTGFA raises awareness, builds international support, and helps secure resources for heritage conservation, education, capacity building and community engagement projects in Georgia.
As a young award-winning and ambitious charity, we are seeking an additional Trustee with fundraising and development experience to join our small Board and help strengthen our capacity to secure sustainable income and grow our international supporter base.

About The Role
As a Trustee, you will share responsibility for the overall governance, strategic direction, financial sustainability and long-term success of NTGFA. Trustees work collectively to ensure that the charity delivers its charitable objectives, complies with charity law, safeguards its assets and reputation, and acts in the best interests of the organisation.

- Lead would help us to achieve full potential with our existing Global Giving online platform.
