Microsoft Intune Engineer

Security clearance (SC) essential
Remote working in the U.K
Up to £415 p/d Inside IR35

We are seeking an experienced Security cleared Microsoft Intune Engineer to support the testing, deployment and ongoing management of software updates, patches and configuration changes across a large End User Device estate.

The role will focus on ensuring vendor updates and configuration scripts are properly tested and validated before being deployed through Microsoft Intune, while maintaining device compliance, security and user productivity.

Key Technical Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and modern endpoint management.
  • Experience deploying and managing Windows updates, patches and configuration policies through Intune.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Autopatch and Hotpatch.
  • Experience with software packaging and application deployment.
  • Experience troubleshooting endpoint deployment and compliance issues.
  • Knowledge of Apple iOS management and update deployment.
  • Experience with Samsung KNOX / FOTA would be advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of End User Device compliance, patching and configuration management.
  • Ability to test changes thoroughly before undertaking production deployments.

  • Test and validate vendor updates, patches and configuration scripts for End User Devices managed through Microsoft Intune.
  • Deploy approved software updates, security patches and configuration changes to End User Devices via Intune.
  • Manage and adjust Microsoft Autopatch and Hotpatch deployment frequencies where required, in line with Microsoft recommendations and agreed Authority requirements.
  • Manage Samsung KNOX FOTA and Apple iOS update frequencies where required, based on guidance from the relevant third parties and agreed Authority requirements.
  • Make necessary software packaging and deployment changes to support successful application and update rollouts.
  • Monitor deployments and device compliance, identifying issues and taking appropriate remedial action.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues arising from software updates, patches and configuration deployments.
  • Work with relevant vendors and technical stakeholders to investigate and resolve deployment or configuration issues.
  • Support continuous improvement of the Intune-managed endpoint environment, including update and configuration management processes.
