Job Description

The Role

We're looking for an ambitious and detail-oriented Inventory Accountant to join our Finance team and take ownership of our end-to-end inventory accounting processes.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant with inventory accounting experience to work within one of the most exciting and fast-paced environments in world sport. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of inventory accounting, supporting financial reporting, and helping the team meet both financial and regulatory requirements.

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll be responsible for the accounting and control of inventory across a wide range of categories, including car parts, merchandise, raw materials, consumables, and tooling.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing inventory-related journal entries and ensuring inventory movements are accurately recognised.
  • Maintaining robust records and audit trails for all inventory transactions.
  • Overseeing the works order ending process and collaborating with operational teams to resolve outstanding issues.
  • Supporting monthly and annual stock counts, investigating discrepancies and accounting for adjustments and write-offs.
  • Monitoring inventory activities to ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
  • Analysing inventory variances against budgets and forecasts and providing insightful commentary to stakeholders.
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of inventory reporting, processes, and controls.
  • Working closely with the wider business to ensure accurate activity-based reporting and cost allocation.
  • Developing an understanding of FIA Financial Regulations to support accurate Cost Cap reporting requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
