Inventory Analyst

This is an exciting opportunity for a strategically minded professional to join our Operations & Supply Chain team. As our Inventory Planner, you will act as the strategic guardian of Medik8’s working capital efficiency. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will serve as a key bridge between Operations, Quality, Finance, and Commercial stakeholders to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent stagnant inventory.
You will drive the inventory lifecycle towards full commercial realisation, safeguarding inventory value across all global channels and architecting data-driven insights that underpin our Integrated Business Planning (IBP).
Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Health & Compliance: Lead the application of Medik8 Inventory Policies across all global entities, using data-driven root cause analysis to mitigate future risks.
- Quarantine Process Leadership: Drive the weekly Quarantine Review process to ensure every item has a clear resolution path, reducing the duration between stock arrival and sellable status.
- SLOB & Risk Management: Own monthly review processes for Raw Materials, Chemicals, and Packaging to identify declining velocity or expiry risks proactively.
- Financial Gatekeeping: Partner with Finance to ensure accurate provisioning for at-risk stock, verifying that all recovery avenues are fully explored.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Lead collaborative efforts across Supply Chain and Commercial teams to resolve stock through re-working, sampling, or promotional channels.
- IBP Integration: Own inventory-related inputs for the Integrated Business Planning process while maintaining high-visibility KPI dashboards for leadership.

Essential Criteria
- Demonstrable experience in inventory planning, merchandising, or supply chain management, ideally within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
- Extensive experience with inventory financial concepts, including provisions, write-offs, and balance sheet impacts.
- Proven proficiency in data visualisation and analysis, including advanced Excel skills and exposure to tools such as Tableau or ERP systems (e.g., Odoo).
- Demonstrable experience managing cross-functional stakeholder relationships and supporting process improvements.
- Practical knowledge of reporting standards and compliance within a global manufacturing or distribution context.
Desirable Criteria
- Background in prestige beauty, cosmetics, or pharmaceuticals.
- Experience supporting Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycles.
- Strong cross-functional facilitation skills in high-growth operational environments.
