Inventory and Planning Manager
Salary: £53,000 + Car Allowance
Location: Midlands based (multi site)
Robert Walters is partnering with a leading supply chain and logistics organisation in the search for an experienced Inventory and Planning Manager. This is a commercially focused leadership role with responsibility for inventory strategy, stock accuracy, forecasting, and continuous improvement across two operational sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop inventory and stock planning strategies to support operational demand and future growth.
- Lead forecasting activities and inventory planning across multiple warehouse locations.
- Drive inventory accuracy through effective cycle counting and stock control processes.
- Manage and develop Inventory Supervisors, providing leadership and support across both sites.
- Analyse inventory performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and operational efficiency.
- Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders to ensure optimum stock availability and warehouse utilisation.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory management and planning.

About You
- Proven inventory management experience within a warehouse, distribution or logistics environment.
- Strong inventory planning, forecasting and stock control expertise.
- Previous people management or supervisory leadership experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Experience using WMS and inventory management systems.
