Inventory and Planning Manager

Salary: £53,000 + Car Allowance
Location: Midlands based (multi site)

Robert Walters is partnering with a leading supply chain and logistics organisation in the search for an experienced Inventory and Planning Manager. This is a commercially focused leadership role with responsibility for inventory strategy, stock accuracy, forecasting, and continuous improvement across two operational sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop inventory and stock planning strategies to support operational demand and future growth.
  • Lead forecasting activities and inventory planning across multiple warehouse locations.
  • Drive inventory accuracy through effective cycle counting and stock control processes.
  • Manage and develop Inventory Supervisors, providing leadership and support across both sites.
  • Analyse inventory performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders to ensure optimum stock availability and warehouse utilisation.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory management and planning.

About You

  • Proven inventory management experience within a warehouse, distribution or logistics environment.
  • Strong inventory planning, forecasting and stock control expertise.
  • Previous people management or supervisory leadership experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
  • Experience using WMS and inventory management systems.
