Inventory Controller
Location – Garswood Bridge House

We are a leading temporary works specialist and at the forefront of our industry for over 60 years, with a reputation built on engineering and service excellence. This enables us to deliver the right temporary works solution for our customers, whatever the scale or complexity of the project. Our customers include civil engineering and construction contractors, asset owners, and consulting engineering firms through to small builders.
We are currently looking for an Inventory Controller for our team based in Garswood. The role will ensure hire and sales stock is administered in a timely and accurate manner to enable effective decision making and reduce unnecessary cost and maximise sales and profit.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the inventory system and optimise/minimise inventory transfers between depots and client sites, ensuring data is accurate and up to date at all times
- Monitor stock at both national and depot level to ensure there is both sufficient and appropriately located stock to effectively service orders without incurring excessive transport costs – identifying any conflicts with the stock strategy.
- Manage the annual and perpetual stocktake processes, assisting depots in post stock take reconciliation, ensuring all inventory changes are valid and adequately investigated, conducting periodic checks at depot locations to confirm inventory is being recorded accurately and processes are being followed.
- Identify under and over utilised inventory lines, making recommendations regarding the future of those lines and communicating demand stress points to key stakeholders in Sales and Engineering
- Work in partnership with colleagues in sales, engineering and operations
- Monitor workshop and depot servicing and repair volumes/backlogs to minimise availability of key products
