Life on the Team
As an Inventory Controller you’ll be responsible for the accurate and efficient management of IT equipment throughout its lifecycle. You’ll ensure assets are received, stored, tracked, deployed, returned and disposed of in line with agreed processes, security requirements and service levels.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate inventory, supporting day-to-day service delivery and ensuring all equipment remains secure and fully accountable.
What You’ll Do
- Manage the receipt, storage, allocation, deployment and return of IT equipment
- Maintain accurate asset and inventory records
- Carry out stock checks and investigate discrepancies
- Monitor stock levels and ensure equipment is available for service requirements
- Manage secure dispatches, returns and vendor repairs
- Assess equipment for redeployment, repair or end-of-life disposal
- Ensure all assets are handled securely and in line with data protection requirements
- Respond to asset queries and work with Service Management and technical teams
- Highlight asset discrepancies, security concerns and process issues
- Support audits and continuous improvement activities

What You’ll Need
- Experience in IT asset management, stock control, logistics, stores or desktop technology
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and data reconciliation
- Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy
- Good knowledge of IT hardware and desktop technology
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to SLAs
- Understanding of asset accountability, inventory control and data security
- Flexible, proactive approach with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
