Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for an Inventory First Line Manager to join our team in Greenford, support our customer, Waitrose. As an Inventory First Line Manager, you will be accountable for maintaining inventory accuracy, controlling costs and improving stock availability, ensuring that warehouse systems are effectively supporting operational performance to the best they can.

This is a full time, permanent position

  • Working an any 5 from 7 shift pattern of 08:00 till 16:00
  • Some flexibility due to one week per month, you will be working a rotation between afternoon (14:00 till 22:00) and night (22:00 till 06:00) shifts, to support all inventory activities

Pay, benefits and more:

  • We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £40,092.00 per annum, and 33 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays)

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Ensure all inventory is managed and counted in accordance with company policies, customer requirements, and audit standards
  • Drive improvements in inventory management and system performance through continuous improvement initiatives and more efficient ways of working
  • Optimise warehouse layouts and system configurations to maximise productivity, efficiency, and operational flow
  • Lead stock reconciliation activities and investigations into significant stock adjustments, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Experience implementing, configuring, or supporting Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) within a distribution centre or fulfilment environment
  • Prior Inventory management is essential for the role to hit the ground running
  • Previous experience within food logistics, grocery fulfilment, or e-commerce operations is desirable
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
