With a strong growth agenda and a culture built around accountability, continuous improvement and operational excellence, Victorian Sliders is now seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to play a key role within its operations function.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Operations Director, the Inventory Manager will take ownership of inventory strategy and control across the business, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective management of stock whilst maintaining optimal inventory levels to support production and customer demand. This is a highly visible role, combining inventory management, supplier relationship management, procurement and team leadership. The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers across both the UK and China, ensuring material availability while driving continuous improvements across supply chain operations. The role is based at Victorian Sliders' headquarters in Ammanford.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory within agreed minimum and maximum stock levels.
- Monitor and optimise stock availability whilst minimising excess inventory and waste.
- Develop robust inventory control processes and improve stock accuracy.
- Manage supplier relationships across the UK and China.
- Raise and manage purchase orders aligned to demand forecasts and production schedules.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules and commercial terms with suppliers.
- Oversee goods-in activities and material issuance to production.
- Lead and manage monthly stock takes and discrepancy investigations.
- Deliver regular inventory reporting and analysis to senior leadership.
- Manage, coach and develop the team responsible for material receipt and issuance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across inventory and supply chain processes.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and operational planning activities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience within inventory management, materials management or supply chain operations.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control principles and stock optimisation.
- Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment.
- Previous leadership experience, including coaching and developing teams.
- Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to decision making.
- Experience using ERP and inventory management systems.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and supplier negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of international supply chains and supplier management would be advantageous.
- Professional qualifications such as APICS, CIPS or equivalent would be beneficial.
