The company delivers stocktaking services, space planning solutions, cycle counts, asset management, and visual store insights to help organizations manage their stock and store layouts efficiently. RGIS also specializes in retail merchandising services, including product and display audits, seasonal resourcing solutions, and warehouse support. Team members work with a variety of customers and sites, offering exposure to different environments and operational practices.
Role Description
The Inventory Stock Auditor / Merchandiser is a full-time, on-site role based in Portsmouth. This role is responsible for conducting accurate stocktakes, cycle counts, and inventory audits in retail and warehouse environments, ensuring data is captured correctly and reported in line with company standards. - Scanning and counting products
- Verifying stock records
- Supporting merchandising activities such as setting up and adjusting product displays
- Assisting with space planning and visual store layouts

The role involves working on customer premises, following health and safety guidelines, collaborating with team members and site managers, and meeting agreed timelines and quality targets.
Qualifications
- Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail for accurate stock counting and data verification.
- Experience or interest in retail, warehousing, or merchandising environments, including working with product displays and store layouts.
- Ability to use handheld scanners, inventory systems, and basic computer applications for data entry and reporting.
- Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues, supervisors, and client staff on-site.
- Reliable time management, willingness to work varied shifts as required, and capacity to meet productivity and accuracy targets.
- Comfort with standing, walking, and manual handling tasks during shifts, following health and safety procedures.
- Previous experience in inventory auditing, stock control, or merchandising is beneficial but not essential; training will be provided.
- A valid right to work in the UK and dependable transportation to reach Portsmouth and surrounding client locations.
