Job Description Summary

Job Title: Investment Accounting Manager
Location(s): Bristol or Leeds
Hours: Full Time
Working Pattern: Hybrid

Help shape high-quality reporting across a diverse investment portfolio of more than £200bn, while leading people, improving processes, and driving automation.

About this Opportunity

We’re looking for a motivated finance specialist to join the Investment Accounting team within Wealth & Insurance Finance. The team produces high-quality information relating to the division’s investment portfolio, for direct use in reporting and by other teams across the business.

You’ll focus on asset data processes and climate reporting, overseeing key data attributes, simplifying the reporting of large data sets, and managing the production of required climate reports. You’ll work in a collaborative environment with exposure to a range of Wealth & Insurance activities, financial reporting frameworks, and regulatory requirements, including IFRS and Solvency UK/II.

Day to Day

  • Lead the production of accurate, high-quality statutory and regulatory reporting information linked to the investment portfolio, including month-end close and quarterly Solvency UK/II asset reporting.
  • Lead the annual production of climate reporting figures.
  • Manage and develop direct reports, supporting their career development.
  • Analyse and challenge large data sets, identify issues, and work with external parties and internal stakeholders to resolve them promptly.
  • Build a deep understanding of customer data requirements and embed them into team processes.
  • Develop strong relationships with third-party service providers, internal customers using asset data, and colleagues across Finance.
  • Lead process improvements, automation, and digital activity, particularly using Power Platform tools such as Power BI, Power Query, and Power Automate.
  • Provide insightful analysis of financial performance, key drivers, and business outcomes.
  • Lead and support change initiatives and smaller projects, including process, system, and reporting upgrades.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
