Role is based in London

Third Platform Services (TPS)

Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced, corporate actions administrator to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys challenges and desires to work in a rapidly growing company, with opportunities for progression in their role.

Main Responsibilities

  • Our team is responsible for all income, full lifecycle of all capital events (mandatory and voluntary), and proxy voting. This includes sending out market information, monitoring for updates, diarising, deadlines, instructing and processing.
  • Investigating and resolving reconciliation breaks.
  • Raising / Settling claims with counterparties.
  • Processing FX transactions and ensuring clients' entitlements are posted accurately.
  • Reviewing all corporate action information from vendors, circulating it to customers, maintaining the Corporate Actions diary, and ensuring all work is prioritised and completed daily.
  • Collating and electing customer instructions through CREST and with our external custodians while adhering to deadlines.
  • Processing events using our in-house software, ensuring adequate client funding and accuracy of book costs. Dealing with and responding to customer queries within our agreed SLAs.
  • Collaborating with other teams to resolve issues.
  • Logging upcoming company meetings, sending appropriate communications to customers, and processing proxy voting instructions.
  • Processing fund conversions.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements, including system developments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills Required

  • Corporate Actions experience, ideally in both capital and income processing, across all markets and financial instruments.
  • Experience with franked income, US withholding tax, CTC categories, and Unit Trust distributions (knowledge of Group 1 / Group 2 elements).
  • Knowledge of proxy voting.
  • Identify gaps and help improve processes.
  • Able to identify when to escalate issues to management.
  • Knowledge of CASS rules.
  • High level of risk awareness.
  • Excellent IT skills, including MS Office, Word, and especially Excel.

Advantageous (but full training will be given to the right candidate)

  • Experience with book cost apportionments and Corporate Action-related CGT calculations.
  • Knowledge of Investment Management software (Tercero/Crest/Bloomberg/Nexen/Aegon).
