Taranis

Taranisi an innovative and fast-growing international company that operates as the investment and asset management division of the Perenco Group, an oil and gas company.

Our mission is to support the energy transition and sustainable development through three complementary divisions:

  • Carbon Ventures – a venture capital fund investing in breakthrough technologies in the fields of plastic recycling and carbon capture and utilization
  • Energy for Africa – a renewable energy project developer operating across the African continent
  • Nature-Based Solutions – a project developer focused on nature conservation and the restoration of natural ecosystems

The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and intellectually curious Research Analyst to support the identification, evaluation, and ongoing monitoring of external investment managers. The role will focus primarily on credit (liquid and private), conducting in-depth due diligence on traditional asset managers, contributing to portfolio construction, and delivering actionable insights to the investment team.

Overtime and depending on priorities, the successful candidate will also support due diligence efforts across private markets and hedge funds, gaining exposure to a broad range of investment strategies. In addition, the role includes responsibility for preparing due diligence analyses and reports, acting as backup for Corporate Investment reporting, cash flow forecasting to monitor liquidity needs, capital calls, and redemption requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
