Cedar is partnered with a private equity-backed infrastructure business in London to appoint an Interim Investment Analyst.
This is an initial 6-month contract offering a day rate of £550-600 per day.
The Company
Our client is a private equity-backed infrastructure platform with a substantial international portfolio of long-life assets. Continued investment and portfolio expansion have created the need for additional analytical capability to support valuation, forecasting and performance reporting across the business.
This is a commercially focused environment where financial modelling plays a central role in evaluating asset performance and informing long-term investment decisions.
The Role
The Interim Investment Analyst will be responsible for monitoring the financial performance and value of a large portfolio of infrastructure assets.
You'll develop and maintain sophisticated financial models, produce long-range forecasts and assess the impact of operational, financing and market assumptions on asset value. The role also provides exposure to refinancing activities, portfolio reviews and wider investment projects, working alongside internal decision-makers and external advisers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
